“To create this piece I was inspired by one of my favorite musicians ever, Grimes. As an artist, the act of being mindful is of course a big deal: making art helps me ground myself. Stepping out of my thoughts and making any kind of bad energy or negativity flow into my fingers and then seeing it all turning into something beautiful all over the paper, it’s just the way to go for me. Claire has always inspired me and helped me trying to keep the right distance from other people’s opinions about my art; I’m really glad I got to illustrate her thanks to the concept our dear Ashley gave to me. Art is part of my self care routine. what’s yours?”
